I read this morning that a 19 year old guy was arrested by police in QLD for burping at a local police station. He was charged with being a public nuisance, after he burped in the face of an admin assistant - twice.

They told him to stop burping but then he began "swearing, became abusive to police and aggressive in front of others including an elderly woman waiting at the counter". Then he burped again.

They don't actually know why the guy came into the police station in the first place, but I'm guessing he is now regretting his decision.

Obviously the alleged burper wasn't one for practising manners, or respect for others. Anyone else cringe at this, or do you think t's ridiculous that he was arrested for it?

Why not while you're at it, put out there other things that 'tick you off' when you see them in public. I'll start with spitting in the street. So unecessary.

That's pretty rude, but being arrested? That's a bit heavy I reckon.

The one noise that I can't stand, is someone chewing a banana. If you listen closely, it's disguisting. I don't like bananas, and that noise doesn't help me think any higher of them. Ha.

EWww!

I'm with you Leah. I think spitting is revolting. I hate seeing people walking down the street and having a good spit. Other people have to walk there too.

That is extremely bad manners of that boy to do such a thing. Disrespectful and gross. What will arresting him prove though? He shoudl be sent to etiquette school with that person from Ladette to Lady. That would be punishment!

I hate people who leave chewing gum under tables. It's the worst feeling putting your hand under a table edge and feeling oter peoples old gum
